Implants are a wonderful option for replacing missing teeth. They can replace single teeth or multiple teeth and can even add support and retention to dentures. They look and function just like your original teeth and they won’t decay or need root canals. Implants have the highest success rate of any tooth restoration around.
Amherst Dentistry uses tooth-colored fillings rather than amalgam to repair small cavities or defects in your teeth. These fillings do not contain any metal but, instead, are made of a durable composite resin material that is easily shaped and blends well with your natural teeth. The results are a completely natural looking smile.
Invisalign and SureSmile are two clear aligner options for tooth alignment that are virtually non-detectable and are suitable for teens and adults. Clear aligner trays that are customized for you slowly move your teeth into their optimal position so you can enjoy your best possible smile. They are hardly noticeable and can be removed when you eat or brush your teeth.
Looking to rejuvenate your smile? Whitening is an easy way to achieve the brighter, whiter smile you’re looking for and is safe, comfortable, and can help almost everyone. This procedure is not painful at all and you have the convenient option to choose either the in-office procedure which is completed within an hour or take-home treatments which you perform at home, or both!
Cosmetic dentistry can correct any number of smile flaws, creating beautiful, natural-looking results. Veneers are bonded directly to the front of the teeth, covering any flaws instantly. They are custom-made to your specifications and will truly transform your smile. Bridges and crowns repair and replace broken or missing teeth. The results are a natural, stunning smile that you will love.
During your dental cleaning our dental hygienists will find plaque and calculus in those hard-to-reach areas of your mouth and remove these disease-causing agents from your teeth. Surface stains will be removed and teeth polished with polishing paste. As part of your dental exam, the dentist will examine your face, neck, teeth and soft tissues including lips, tongue, palate, throat and gums.
At Amherst Dentistry we believe that keeping your mouth healthy is a team effort. Here are a few best practices to follow between visits:
Brush your teeth for two minutes at least two times each day
Floss daily to prevent tooth decay and maintain gum health
Avoid carbonated, acidic and sugary drinks
Change your toothbrush every 3 months
Remember to brush your tongue to remove bacteria and debris
